RICS Transfer: Associate Trainees and Trainees

RICS and the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland have an agreement whereby Trainees undertaking the Assessment of Professional Competence can transfer membership between RICS and the Society while continuing to record APC experience, uninterrupted.

You are obliged to register as a Trainee with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland if you are working in the Republic of Ireland. Likewise, you are obliged to register as a Trainee with the RICS if you are working outside the Republic of Ireland. If you do not register with the body in the country where you practice, your recorded experience will be inadmissible for Final Assessment.

If you are an RICS-enrolled Trainee and are intending to work in the Republic of Ireland you will need to resign RICS membership and apply to enrol with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. Complete this form and return it to:
