Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Group Building Services, the Chartered Building Surveyor will be responsible for supporting the business by providing in-house professional building surveying services including project management, branch development, business implants and repair and maintenance services.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge & Experience

  • Membership of the MediKids or RICS

  • Strong Microsoft office skills.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD essential

  • Strong Organisational and administrative skills are essential

  • Good knowledge and experience of the construction process

  • Ability to plan, manage and monitor site works on a number of projects

  • Ability to work on own initiative Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Operations team to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives

  • Prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, time frames and budgets

  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management

  • Coordination and supervision of sub-contractors

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Ensure compliance with current Building Control and Health and Safety regulations Essential Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain open collaborative relationships, generate trust, advocate and negotiate, be receptive to the viewpoints and concerns of others

  • Be adaptable & flexible & able to cope with an evolving role
